• As a core part of the management team, duties include rota management, hiring and training new team members, managing and implementing improvement projects, budgeting for the clinic and general operational management.
• Conducted multiple interviews and exit interviews.
• Improved the clinical running of the practices and streamlined operational processes.
• Trained junior nursing staff, enhancing professional skill development.
• Working to gain level 3 endorsed certificate in leadership and management. Planned completion date for this of September 2025.

• Developed a passion for management.
• Enjoyed learning about the behind the scenes running of the practise, the problem solving, and the chance to use initiative day to day.
• Experienced interview processes, one to one reviews, as well as returning to work meetings.
• Striven to implement changes that make the day run smoothly, such as improved record keeping, improved operational booking process, and an overhaul of the core roles needed in the running of the day.
• In this role was made a ‘superuser’ for the new practice management system that was implemented. This involved travelling to other sites to onboard team members with the management system and troubleshoot any issues through this developed a passion for teaching and implementation work.

Gaining experience of the different operational practices in clinics across the South coast.

• Started with the Arun group at a branch in Worthing, moved to the twenty-four hour ECC hospital in Chichester after a year.
• Continued with all aspects of nursing including running clinics.
• Updated ECC skills, grown competent in orthopaedic and laparoscopic surgery and gained fear free practitioner certificate.
• Gained proficiency in Idexx, Woodley's and Vet check lab machines.

• Here learned about holistic medicine and homeopathy.
• In hort time here implemented a lot of improvements in patient after care and record keeping.

• Company Overview: Alphapet is a twenty four seven, out of hours, emergency practice.
• Began this job as a student veterinary nurse in 2015.
• Gained valuable experience working with emergency cases.
• Main job roles included, monitoring anaesthetics, general nursing care of inpatients, using digital x-ray machine, taking and running blood on in house blood machines, interpreting blood smears and general laboratory work, assisting with minor surgeries, scrubbing in on major surgeries, running nursing clinics, reception work, and assisting with puppy socialisation classes.
