  • Working for an oil company that has offices in both the UK and Africa, I was exposed to a range of financial operations, such as automations, outsourcing and group financial reporting, as well as learning about the company’s projects in Ghana and Kenya.
  • After expressing an interest in engineering, I was given the opportunity to work with some of the engineering team, learning about gas turbines, machinery vibration analysis, and well engineering.

Affiliations

  • Running - Completed a half marathon in 1 hour 41 mins in 2024, currently training for the 2026 London Marathon. I am doing this to fundraise for Carneys Community, a charity I have close links to and have previously volunteered for.
  • Football - I have played for over 10 years, having won awards and captained my previous team, and have continued to play at University.
  • Hiking - I have some previous endeavours in hiking, most notably scaling the Lion's Head mountain in South Africa. However, my biggest challenge is coming up in August 2026, where I am going to trek Mount Kilimanjaro. I am also fundraising for the Meningitis Research Foundation, who have made this a possibility for me.
  • DofE - I have completed Bronze and Silver DofE, I am in the process of finalising Gold DofE, but have completed all sections.
  • NCS - Spent a week away from home in the summer of 2023, where I learned important survival and social skills.

Volunteer Experience

Carney’s Community, Boxing Coach, 2019, 2022, Through volunteering as a boxing coach for 7–11-year-olds, I developed my skills working with a large group of people, as well as doing 1-1 work, adapting to different situations and needs.
