Additional Information

  • During my extensive experience in general medicine(more than 8 years), along with my substantial respiratory experience, I enjoyed looking after respiratory patients, particularly those who needed NIV or pleural procedure, and I find the dynamic nature of respiratory medicine intellectually stimulating and pursuing the Respiratory ST4 position represents the next logical step in my career progression, where I can apply my skills, knowledge, and passion to make meaningful contributions to patient outcomes and the broader field of respiratory medicine.

  • I completed 4 months of respiratory placement before IMT, followed by a 6-month respiratory rotation in IMT2. And opted for additional 6 months in IMT3 when asked for placement preferences in IMT3. I actively participated in local audits/QIPs during respiratory placements, of which award winning ILD audit in Northwest society meeting. As a BTS society member for over 2 years, I contributed to national audits(National Respiratory Support Audit 2023) and regularly attended summer & winter meetings, courses, sim sessions, online training, and webinars. Additionally, I have greatly contributed to respiratory education by designing and leading departmental teaching for 6 months.

  • My enriched respiratory clinical skills include handling referrals, pleural procedures, clinics, MDTs, and leading departmental teaching for 6 months. I have extensive general medicine experience(>8 years), along with respiratory experience made me competent in running and leading respiratory wards including HDU-NIV units. I am Entrusted to act unsupervised "level 4 emergency TUS operator" according to the new BTS TUS CiP standards. additionally, I have attended and will continue to cover various respiratory clinics and observed numerous bronchoscopies/EBUS procedures.
