I have always been passionate about sport and physical fitness, as I have grown older my interests have expanded to the coaching and teaching aspects of sport and have actively sought opportunities for professional development that have aided my teaching skills and confidence.
I now hold a strong background in sports and physical education, holding a degree in Physical Education and captaining the university snow sports team for two years, with notable achievements including winning three tennis awards and representing my school in the Yorkshire championships.
More recently I have taken on a role as a sports coach working within schools, which has given me the opportunity to apply my knowledge within a school setting and take on greater responsibility, this role has significantly increased my confidence by giving me experience in classroom management and deepened my understanding of how to plan and deliver effective, inclusive lessons, it has also confirmed my desire to continue growing as a PE teacher and to continue to inspire students to enjoy and value physical activity both within and beyond the curriculum.
