I provide one to one care for a young boy with a rare genetic condition with associated medical needs. He has severe learning disability, ASD, ADHD, non-verbal, epilepsy, communication difficulties and behaviours of concern

Administered medication through peg
Risk management as child has no awareness of danger and is a flight risk
Personal care
Overnight care including use of CPAP
Monitored breathing with saturation monitor
Followed seizure plan as child can take seizures

Care in the community - providing personal care to the elderly and those on palliative care plans.
Prepare and serve basic meals
Administrator medication
Record and document care plan
Working in partnership with families and other team members

Cedar Lodge Special School (P3/P4)

Support pupils with additional needs to engage in the class lesson.

Be aware of the individual needs of each pupil including communication styles.
Support the teacher to implement teaching plan
Manage risks following risk assessment
Provide personal care when required

Oversee the smooth running of a baby room (12 children)
Planning activities to meet individual needs of each child
Working as a team whilst delegating tasks to staff as appropriate
Building good relationships with parents and communicating effectively regarding each child.
Follow policies and procedures including child protection, confidentiality and record keeping.
