  • Veolia Water Technologies (VWT). VWT had revenues of between €1.8-2.5 billion, 70 operating business units and over 7,500 employees.
  • CEO - UK(2006 - 2008) Turnaround brief for a loss-making business unit. Pivoted from higher risk, design & build (D&B) project only model, to an engineered technology product and service-based strategy. Transformed profitability, cash-flow and underlying growth of to become internal benchmark for operational delivery & profitability within VWT.
  • CEO/VP - UK & Germany (2008-2010) Turnaround situation and close out of problematic legacy D&B projects. Strengthened key account focus in core sectors and promoted unique technologies to German municipal water sector. Implemented succession management process, exiting my tenure with a new (local) CEO in place, and with restored profitability and future growth strategy.
  • EVP- European Process Solutions (2010-2015). Growth in revenue & profitability. Divisional Board member leading a €150 million, 1,100 employee reporting region of technology/services businesses covering Germany, France, UKI, Benelux and Denmark. Successfully implemented common business strategy and culture across disparate SME's to enhance cross-selling growth opportunities and deliver consistent operational execution across key markets and customer groups.
  • CEO Northern Europe (2016-2023). In addition to operational P&L responsibilities for UK and Ireland, Divisional Management Committee (CoDir), holding additional responsibilities as executive sponsor and CEO special advisor for:
  • Global pharma market strategy, including key recruitments and new outsourcing partnerships
  • Global Services Transformation program, including new software platform
  • Digital business model and innovation, including determining VWT "inside the fence" technology strategy.

New Product/Services Development - Inspired and delivered several new (engineered) products used within Pharma and Medical sectors, along with product/technology market re-entry within municipal water & industrial sectors. Originator of the VWT "inside the fence" digital strategy and inspiration for new digital offers. Executive responsible for strategy and growth phase of pan-European mobile water services, later divested for a 20 fold multiple.
