Summary

Putting the utmost priority on creating functional and quality software, as a developer I see the world built upon the bedrock of collaboration, collective desire to improve efficiency and adapt to changing environments, this composition allows us to live an unparalleled standard of living unseen throughout history. I have a particular interest in the financial sector and business management, as the wider understanding of how our modern world works, allows us to not be impotent in our ability to affect change in the world. While these may be my interests I also bring a versatile skillset to the table, i have spent a lot of time building my knowledge and experience at university by learning other web technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Git version control, Laravel and languages such as SQL, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, PHP, giving me invaluable experience in utilising these technologies in a workplace environment. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt and work with strict deadlines. I pride myself in delivering the high-quality product I can and provide scrutiny on my own work, to improve for the next project. My goal is to not only develop the highest quality software possible, but to affect a positive change on the world and become part of a team that supports a company with similar values. This makes me excited in the prospect of joining a like-minded, growth-centred company and conduct myself professionally and efficiently to contribute to the success of that organisation. Organised and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.

Projects

Genetic Algorithm - Developed a Genetic Algorithm in C# that utilises a specific string to target an individual within a population, and identifies the generation and individual that matches the target string. - Demonstrated the dynamic problem-solving capabilities of genetic algorithms by assigning rewards and punishments to each generation.

AI Chatbot - Developed a command line AI Chatbot in C# that assists users in checking weather statistics for any city. - Utilised OpenWeather's API to retrieve an up-to-date weather report for the requested city. - Showcased my ability to use APIs to request and provide information based on user input.

Restaurant Content Management System - Effective use of Object Oriented Programming and the composite design pattern, giving special attention to the efficient use of fundamental OOP principles; Inheritance, Polymorphism, Encapsulation, Abstraction. - Currently developing a piece of software to handle company stock,, ordering, payroll and menus. Soon I will upgrade the software to use a graphical user interface, in place of a command line interface, for a more user friendly experience. - Utilising C# and MySQL as my Database of choice, and creating a range of commands and query options for customers and administrators to efficiently search through the database.

Eportfolio - Created a web application that serves as an Eportfolio and a resume. - Server-side stack leverages ASP.NET MVC framework and MySQL to showcase my previous software engineering projects. - Displays professional credentials including education, contact information, social media links, and experience summary. - Includes a concise personal summary to highlight professional achievements and goals.
