Worked directly for Chief Financial Officer (CFO), led Central Business Transformation team of 10 people accountable for delivering between 6 and 12 global transformation initiatives, brought together an international network of regional / functional transformation teams covering all parts of the business.

Responsibilities include Programme / Project Management, Change Management, Benefits Realisation, Transformation Roadmap, Transformation Governance, Stakeholder Engagement, and Strategy Alignment / Planning. Selected highlights:

  • Built high-performing team from scratch with 0% attrition in three years, now supports portfolio of transformation initiatives representing total investment of c.£200m over 5 years (c.£40m in 2023), strong focus on Digital Transformation
  • Successful delivery of Media Agency Transition (to IPG) in just 16 weeks, project involved over 100 people, went live on-time with savings of c.£30m on day one and will save Dyson c.£300m over 3 years
  • Implementation of new Revenue Management software for trade promotion spend, in H2 2022 this processed c.£190m rebates / c.£170m promotions with projected benefits of c.£40m over 4 years
  • Worked with Supply Chain to find cost down process efficiencies of c.£25m in 2022

Senior Transformation Manager

Worked directly for Chief Financial Officer (CFO), led series of complex operating model / restructuring / organisational design initiatives. Selected highlights:

  • Establishment of global, centralised service centres in India and China for Finance / IT / Procurement / HR / Legal, generated annual savings of c.£140m by 2020 for investment of c.£30m over 3 years
  • HR transformation enabled by global Workday implementation, programme deliver on time / specification / cost across c.20 geographies worldwide, specific responsibility for driving data quality to over 95%
  • Leadership of all aspects of shutdown of Dyson Automotive business including settling with suppliers (c.£100m exposure mitigated), successfully disposal of all Automotive assets, redeployment of 500 employees (c.20% moved to Dyson Home business), and repurposing of Hullavington airfield site
  • Definition, and subsequent board approval, of sustainability strategy and associated implementation plan, led to £39m investment over 3 years, lays foundations to 2030, become carbon neutral, reduce environmental impact of Dyson products by 30%, and improve 1 billion peoples' lives
  • Creation of new Enterprise Operating Model, huge undertaking with 20+ workstreams that covered entire business, involved leading large-scale restructuring / people impact initiatives before and after implementation

The business need, arising from these initiatives, to maintain operating model alignment led to new role as Business Transformation Director and creation of Central Business Transformation team.
