Accomplishments

  • London Fashion Week, 09/2024, Worked closely with designer Jane Peirson on the Annwn collection. Leading these efforts in such a high-profile event honed my leadership, communication, and multitasking skills under tight deadlines.
  • PCA Vision Finalist, 2022, Selected as one of 12 international candidates for the prestigious PCA Vision design competition, recognized for innovation in sustainable fashion. • Betty Jackson Design Award Shortlist, 2020, Shortlisted for exceptional creativity and technical proficiency in fashion design, particularly for my work focused on modern workwear and textiles.

Affiliations

  • My outdoor pursuits and interests (surfing and environmental campaigning) have shaped my creative vision; using the natural landscape to inspire my ethos of sustaining whilst incorporating traditional skills and designs dictated by a historical perspective. Highly tested in creating opportunities to develop new ventures that will seek commercial production of fabrics designed and woven in Wales, thereby flying the flag for British manufacturing and utilising niche skills within the British Isles. I would relish the opportunity to discuss my ideas and vision more fully at interview.
  • One of my previous collections was originally inspired by adaptation, looking at fishing, agriculture and business wear attire which are significant to my farming/ and fishing heritage on the Gower, in Wales. Through this I created garments that are multifunctional with a dual purpose. My design journey involved me using high concept practices to create juxtaposed different workwear garments in the form of collages, mixed Media illustrations and graphic designs. The process involved me exaggerating proportions in order to experiment with shape and silhouette to create my design process.
