For my Welsh Baccalaureate last year, for my 30 hours of volunteering work I went back to the primary I went to and helped out with after-school clubs. The club we did was the Urdd Club, which can vary in what to do such as sport, colouring, cooking (fruit sticks, rice crispy cakes) and just in general having fun with the kids. I think this has helped me develop an understanding of helping children. I enjoyed doing this club and helping out when I'm needed. this definitely helped with my communication skills as talking to children is much different to adults. I'm a great team player and willing to do anything there is to help. I am a fluent Welsh and English speaker and am happy to encourage the Welsh language when I can. I have a driver's license so getting to and from work isn't an issue. I have just finished studying my A levels at Ysgol Llanhari and awaiting my results in August.
