I worked part-time at a children’s sports holiday club during school holidays, where I assisted with setting up and dismantling sports equipment and led a range of physical activity sessions for groups of up to 30 children. This role developed my ability to coach and motivate young participants, manage large groups safely, and communicate clearly in an active, fast-paced environment.

From the age of 13, I have been an FA qualified Referee, since then I have spent weekends refereeing ages 5-12 at grassroots level. Throughout this period, I found myself having to communicate a lot both with other officials, managers, players and sometimes even parents. This has forced my communication skills to improve as it is important that the players in particular know and understand my decisions.
