Company Overview: Southend Care is a company wholly owned by Southend Borough Council, set up to deliver high quality care and support services.
Key responsibilities are for client wellbeing and the security/safety of the building.
Making sure that care plans are accurate and up to date.
I look after the medical, physical and emotional needs of the clients under my care each night.
Keeping equipment clean and maintained.
General Housekeeping duties.
Keeping filing updated and correct.
Creation and distribution of nightly handover documentation.
Delivering handover meetings.
Distribution of medication; using medication and administration records to ensure the correct medication, dosages and application methods are used for the correct clients.
Leading the team when short-staffed.
Liaising with Paramedics, Doctors and District Nurses.
Ensuring that the medical charts are maintained properly and are flagged if there’s an issue.
Responsible for reporting things like: Client Food & Hydration, Urine Output & Bowel Charts.
Monitoring Charts.
The above charts’ accuracy is critical for the client’s wellbeing.
