Throughout my working life I have worked within safeguarding, confidentiality, equality and diversity guidelines, working in multi-disciplinary teams and with various professions. Record keeping and individual care plans have been key to my present role. I carry out assessments, referrals and clinical audits within my present role. Patients with autistic and/or neurodivergent needs often attend our clinics for assessment/treatment which another member of the team and I take the lead in this clinic as we have more of an understanding, awareness, passion and sensitivity to how this might be difficult and over stimulating to someone. I find this very rewarding and hopefully beneficial to the patient that we are trying to help.
