- Volunteering - We ran a campaign to try and reduce food waste in our college. This was fun but also informative. As part of our campaign, we created a petition, gathered signatures and presented our case.
- The experience taught me the benefits of working with a great team, and I also learnt a lot about the ecosystem, which certainly helped when studying topics like Biodiversity in my A Level Biology.

- I volunteered as a mentor to an 11-year-old boy. This was a great experience allowing me as a recipient of mentoring to be able to pay something back
- I helped my mentee with his English and Maths, but also with what we called character strengths, such as building confidence and staying power.
- This taught me as much as I taught him. I learnt how to work around difficult situations and think outside the box, but also how to learn in new ways
- I worked in a team with 10 other mentors and a project leader.
