Experience

Immunology Summer School (September 2023 - September 2023) - This event was run by the University of Edinburgh and was sponsored by the British Society of immunology. It involveddeveloping skills in mathematics, writing papers and reviewing papers, lab skills such as a mouse dissection and microscope skills.


Virtual Work Experience - Genetic Screening

- This job simulator involved learning how to analyse real-time PCR and diagnostic data from the Covid-19 pandemic by analysing amplification curves and determining cycle thresholds for different genes, assessing the sensitivity and specificity of a hypothetical disease and researching real-time PCR assays and analysing each test to understand their limits and positive percent agreements.


Insights - I participated in the insights scheme ran by the university of Edinburgh for widening participants were I went to NewYork for 10 days with a group of strangers to meet Edinburgh University Alumni and work on networking skills. This helped develop my independence, confidence and networking skills.
