For many years I have bought and sold vintage and antique clothing. It's a huge passion of mine. I built a really thriving online business, working from home whilst raising my twin boys. I still very much buy and sell, both online and the occasional market or pop-up shop.
In 2009, I started a business making raw chocolate. I became very interested in nutrition and food. This led me to teaching regular workshops for well over a decade.
I taught myself the craft of bean-to-bar chocolate making using the finest raw ingredients. From late 2009, I started to wholesale my chocolates to many shops and cafes as well as selling to a loyal customer base via social media and my website.
My role was to manage the day to day social media for this flourishing family business. They sell natural/educational toys online. The instagram account grew 37.7k followers by the tine I left this job.
I created daily content, managed the very active Facebook group and liaised with brand ambassadors.
Alongside making chocolates and teaching chocolate making workshops, my in interest in food and nutrition led to catering.
I hosted regular supper clubs with fellow chef chris Massamba and even had our supper club featured in an episode of Channel 4's River Cottage.
I catered various events in London and festivals with plant based, living cuisine and have done private chef work for families.
After graduating from Chelsea school of Art with a BA Hons in Fine Art, I started working at One Vintage. This London based fashion label reworks antique clothing using very fine textiles.
We supplied many stylists and celebrities with clothing and wholesaled to Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the Middle East. I was in charge of our wholesale clients and ran the showroom for appointments.
My deep love of antiques, vintage fashion and passion for excellent customer care meant this role was very rewarding for me. I believe I worked well as part of the small, busy team and used my initiative to keep the daily organisation of the showroom running efficiently.
