Work History

Customer Team Member

Co-op High Kingsdown
High Kingsdown
04.2025 - 06.2026
  • My most recent job was returning to another Co-op store in High Kingsdown, where I worked as a Customer Team Member for 14 months.
  • Having already gained 6 months' experience in this role, I had the necessary knowledge and skills to do my job effectively to the best of my ability, whilst continuing to develop along the way.
  • My role varied from replenishing stock, taking deliveries, working on the tills, and providing consistent, friendly customer service.
  • Completing online orders from Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat, and using handsets to prepare DPD and Amazon parcels for customers, was other parts of my role.
  • Completing a variety of tasks under timed pressure and in busy circumstances due to the high number of students in the area, I developed my ability to work consistently under pressure.
  • Collaborating with my team and building strong work-based relationships is something that has also been developed along the way and is a big part of working in this role.

Urban Designer

Pegasus Group
Bristol
09.2024 - 03.2025
  • As part of my course (Urban planning), I completed a full-time 6-month placement working in the Urban Design department at Pegasus Group, Bristol.
  • As an Urban designer, I had a variety of jobs which included making a number of plans such as site location or block plans for housing developments at the pre-application stage as well as other plans like Constraints and Opportunities, Outdoor Seating, designing new housetypes for housing developers and more.
  • A big part of the job was to help produce testing layouts for a new development.
  • This job in particular required applying different skills and techniques on software called Vectorworks which was the primary software I used to produce all of my work.
  • During my time here, I developed the ability to meet deadlines on a regular basis whilst improving my efficiency and working under time pressure.
  • Collaborating with my team and building strong work-based relationships are skills I have also developed along the way and are a big part of working in Urban Design.
  • Pegasus Group is a leading planning and design consultancy.

Customer Team Member

Co-op Henleaze
Henleaze
03.2024 - 08.2024
  • For 6 months, I worked as a Store assistant at the Co-operative in Henleaze.
  • Working as a Store Assistant involved numerous roles, including replenishing and organising stock so it is presentable for customers to purchase, facing up products, and cleaning the store at the end of every shift.
  • I spent a significant amount of time behind the tills, where I had to think quickly and perform tasks efficiently whilst interacting with customers, benefiting the store.
  • Being knowledgeable about our products and knowing my store well helped me to assist customers with where certain products were in the store, and also any other questions they had regarding certain products.
  • Multitasking and doing multiple jobs at once were skills I believe I developed most during my time at Co-op.
  • An example of this was scanning products on the till whilst packing a Deliveroo order for an online customer under time pressure.

Work experience

Pegasus Group
Bristol
12.2023 - 02.2024
  • As part of my course (Urban planning), I completed 10 days' work experience at Pegasus Group Bristol, where I worked in the Planning department for 5 days and the Urban Design department for 5 days.
  • During my time in the planning department, I prepared a planning appraisal and a planning application for two sites my coworkers were already working on.
  • My coworkers taught me numerous transferable skills that apply to their day-to-day roles, helping me better understand how to deliver complex planning permissions and become a successful planner in this industry.
  • When working in Urban design, I developed a broader set of creative skills, including sketching a residential plan and layout for a current site, as well as sketching the design of housing types I was going to include on the site.
  • Following this, I transferred this plan onto CAD software where I drew this plan into more detail and added the final details.
  • My time at Pegasus provided me with the perfect balance of transferable skills and experience needed to be successful in this industry and to help shape my future career in planning.
  • Pegasus Group is a leading planning and design consultancy.

Accounts Assistant

Day Group LTD
05.2023 - 08.2023

  • Learning how to use this software gave me the skills to check invoices effectively and understand the process that came with it.
  • Developed numerous skills, including my attention to detail, the ability to work under time constraints and my communication skills, whilst working with my co-workers and being able to communicate with workers from other departments.
