Volunteering

Volunteer Reading Assistant, Lincoln. Volunteered at a local library alongside finishing my degree reading to children of various ages. Helped to foster imagination and creativity with various topics of stories. Allowed me to demonstrate strong communication skill, patience and the ability to connect with children through different methods. Created a warm and welcoming environment for all children to express and explore their interests.

Additional information

During the course of completing my degree I was elected social secretary and vice president of the dance society at my university. I created and led sessions teaching dance to other students allowing for a creative way to engage in activities during university. Alongside working with a team we helped to create fundraisers for our chosen charities and social events to develop team bonding and support for the community. During this role I learned to multitask and design methods to develop the best solutions alongside budgeting for different experiences. This helped to build on my experience on teaching different age groups and tailor to all levels of experience.
