I have built a strong career for the past three years at Peter Pan Nursery starting as an apprentice and working my way up to the room leader of the 2-4 Unit.

I also gained an Early Years Teacher qualification and represent the nursery as their early years teacher and room leader. My duties include, but are not limited to:

• To provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years of age.
• To oversee the running of the 2-4 unit and ensure staff are utilised efficiently. I was also responsible for ensuring staff were properly trained and doing their Continuous Professional Development.
• To deliver and lead the Early Years curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
• Proactive development of new programs of learning to keep children excited and engaged with the framework consistently.
• To be responsible for the health and safety of the staff and children of the nursery.
• To provide a professional, knowledgeable and friendly point of contact for parents and for OFSTED visits.
• Support children for their readiness for school, also creating a strong foundation for literacy, mathematics and other primary subjects.

Completed placement at Beacon Rise Primary School, aligning with my Early Years Teacher qualification.

• Assisted EYFS Lead/Reception teacher in daily classroom activities.
• Led five maths and five phonics sessions for a group of children.
• Conducted guided reading sessions to enhance literacy skills.
• Demonstrated effective leadership while managing whole class activities.
