Summary

I am an enthusiastic teacher with a knack for making learning exciting and enjoyable. Motivated by the belief that all children can be learners. I have 12 years of experience working with children both in early years and primary settings. In 2021 I began teaching key stage 1 children with special educational needs. I am enjoyed this role and feel passionate that I can help all children to develop at their own pace and to succeed in their educational journey, no matter what obstacles they may face. I am highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement and have successfully helped children to develop strong literacy and numeracy skills as well as helping them to build self-esteem, positive friendships and life skills. I feel I am particularly skilled at assessing and planning for each child’s needs and can adapt lessons accordingly so that each child experiences success and progression. During my degree from 2014-2017 I was able to plan and implement many educational activities for early years children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines, so feel highly confident observing, assessing and planning for early years children. In my current role I am learning a lot and feel confident managing and over seeing the educational journeys of the 150 children on my case load. I feel confident directing staff and supporting them to provide good quality teaching within their lessons
