I am an accomplished professional with significant knowledge of Highways Development Management and Transport Planning. Through my previous role at Worcestershire County Council I have extensive knowledge of the strategic allocations at Worcestershire Parkway and Throckmorton.
This role is an exciting opportunity to realise the significant opportunities these sites will play delivering sustainable development within Worcestershire and will set the bar for future development proposals with active travel and passenger transport opportunities at the heart of the developments providing sustainable transport opportunities for all.
I am skilled in diplomatic, but firm, communication with developers and agents to ensure the right outcomes for the authority and ensuring the sites deliver the required infrastructure at the appropriate time.
I have significant experience attending planning committee being able to respond to questions and concerns raised by Members.
Since joining Gloucestershire County Council I have been working closely with Cheltenham Borough and Tewkesbury Borough Councils to secure planning permission for their strategic sites at West Cheltenham. In May 2025 planning permission for 4,115 dwellings at Elms Park was approved. In excess of £20m s106 contributions were negotiated and secured.
I appreciate I do not have the required educational qualification for this role but I would hope my significant and relevant experience would be sufficient for me to be considered for interview.
I would also note my current salary is £63,600 which is above the ceiling of the posted salary.
