I am an ambitious and self-driven individual with an eagerness to learn new skills and knowledge. I have the adaptability to communicate with others, and I work well individually and can integrate within a team and have experience of this from a variety of settings. These are skills that I have acquired throughout my years of education at school and college. Also, through my work experience and previous employment. I am looking for a well-paid job to continue my career in credit management whilst also gaining more knowledge and experience. After completing my studies of level 3 business at West Nottinghamshire college and the work I have done in my previous role as a credit controller for a worldwide company, I believe I am trustworthy, reliable, and honest. I wish to continue my career and build on my skills to prepare me for my future and hope that given the opportunity I could do this by working within your business.

  • I manage an account ledger of around 2000 invoices on excel using other business systems alongside this.
  • Proactively chased for on-time payments.

  • Deal with any difficult queries the customers may face early on that are preventing payment so that the queries are resolved in time for payment being due.

During this week I learnt about what each department does and what they have to do on a day-to-day basis.

The different departments i worked in each day are:

1. Accounts payable

2. Marketing

  • Created a power point to advertise an item i wanted to sell
  • Identified the target market and best ways to advertise to them.
  • Created different techniques to market.

3. customer services

  • Assigned incidents to people within the team
  • Provided support to the team on various assignments.

4. IT

  • Used excel spreadsheets to manage data
  • Worked alongside other members of IT and helped them organise IT equipment

5. Reception

  • Organised mail to ensure it was going to the right place.
  • Helped organise a garden party and decorated the office for it.
  • Managed the office barrier and maintained who was going in and out of the office premises.
  • Went round the 2 buildings and displayed the necessary updates on the notice boards.

I completed small tasks for each department to gain an understanding of how they work.
