I am a passionate teacher with experience developing and implementing diverse curriculums covering wide range of subjects. I am highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. Growing up in a low income family, I started tutoring younger children in many subjects. After achieving higher education in arts, mandarin and music, I continued teaching older pupils (secondary school) and guided them through GCSE and A level mandarin, English and Music. With my excellent communication skills and teaching experience, I have been successful in helping students develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills.
I am also an advocate for a balanced learning environment. I create a fun, healthy and supporting learning atmosphere for my group classes. I try and make every pupil feel included. I love motivating and encourage all my students throughout their learning process. I take pride in having students coming in and leaving my classes with a smile. I truly care for all my students and am still in contact with some of my ex pupils' parents to stay updated with their education and personal development.
I am very pleased to learn of this teaching opportunity. I am confident that my five years of experience as a private educator more than prepare me for this new challenge. I have been very interested in opportunities at a secondary school for some time. I am also particularly interested in the issue you raise in your listing with regard to realigning the Year 5 and 6 planning to match that of your sister schools.
Given the complexity of our educational landscape; adaptability, flexibility, and innovation have come to the forefront of my approach to lesson planning. I am particularly interested in opportunities to implement change in my teaching and am well-prepared to become an active part of the team redesigning the GCSE and pre GCSEs Mandarin strategy for your school. After years of teaching experience, I would love to offer a fresh perspective on this if it would be of interest.
In the classroom, I am always seeking that fantastic feeling of finally getting through to a pupil who “just couldn’t get it”. I have a proven track record for improving mandarin and music test scores by at least 20% in the year and am sensitive and reactive when a teaching method requires review. I am a strong advocate of student wellbeing and social development and employ a range of tactics when approaching educational or pastoral issues in my classrooms. I have hugely enjoyed developing myself as a teacher in my current position as a private teacher for groups.
I feel confident that I can be an asset to your school whilst continuing to develop personally as an educator. If I can provide any further information with regard to any points in this letter or on my attached CV, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing more about this opportunity.
