My more recent experience in school has been my most impactful and rewarding yet. Being a small school, this setting has enabled me to wear many hats and embrace different roles and responsibilities in only a short period of time.

Subject Leadership:

My roles have encompassed whole- school curriculum development and improvement alongside raising the profile of these subjects within the community.

Physical, Social and Health Education (PSHE) - My role in the last few years has included assessing local need and working with a number of different stakeholders to redesign a curriculum that was bespoke to the children's needs in our small- school setting. a

Other responsibilities in this role:

• Ensuring statutory requirements of relationships and sex education (RSE) and supporting staff to develop their confidence and competence in this area.

Physical Education (PE) - including PE, sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing.

Other responsibilities in this role:

• Organisation of extra-curricular activities such as sports clubs/competitions extending opportunities for student growth and building resilience beyond the school day.
• Managed classroom behaviour effectively, promoting respect and fostering a climate conducive to learning and building relationships with pupils and their parents.
• Implemented assessment strategies that accurately measured student understanding, guiding data-driven instruction for improved outcomes.
• Organized extracurricular activities such as clubs or tutoring sessions, extending opportunities for student growth beyond the school day.
