Summary

My passion for teaching lies in inspiring, guiding, and challenging students to reach their full potential while building strong, positive relationships. I bring high energy, enthusiasm, resilience, and a hardworking nature to everything I do. My classroom is a safe, welcoming space where humour and positivity make learning enjoyable. I believe children learn best when they feel valued and supported, so I maintain an open-door policy and prioritize clear communication with both students and parents.

Over the past two years teaching Year 5, I have developed exceptional subject knowledge and the confidence to innovate. For example, I completely redesigned the literacy curriculum to make writing more engaging, sparking creativity and enthusiasm among students. I have worked collaboratively with Year 6 leaders and attended training to understand progression and overcome learning barriers.

My experience spans Key Stage 1 and 2, giving me a broad understanding of curriculum expectations and developmental stages. I believe in a child-centred approach that fosters resilience, confidence, and a love for learning. I use differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and ongoing assessment to create inclusive, challenging environments where students thrive. I incorporate hands-on, collaborative, and inquiry-based learning, using real-life examples, technology, and outdoor activities to make lessons engaging and memorable. I encourage students to embrace mistakes as part of the process. My love for practical learning comes from seeing how creativity and active participation make concepts stick.

Building strong parent-teacher relationships is essential, so I provide regular updates and maintain open communication. I also value collaboration among all stakeholders and actively contribute to school life beyond the classroom which have helped me connect with students in different settings and strengthen the sense of community.

I am committed to continuous professional development, attending training on adaptive teaching, safeguarding, AI in education, and inclusivity. I believe learning never stops—for students or teachers—and I strive to model that mindset every day. My goal is to inspire, guide, and challenge every child to reach their full potential while making learning something they truly enjoy.
