As a health care assistant in the hospital I am responsible for providing care to the patients and visitors. I carry out personal care such as washing and assisting with meals and provide emotional support for patients who are anxious or distressed.


I follow hospital policies and procedures, maintaining patients dignity and respect at all times. I work as part of a team to ensure patients are getting the help and support they need and escalate concerns to the relevant nurses when a patient is deteriorating.


I am responsible for escalating deteriorating patients to senior staff and advocating for patients in my care.
