Summary

I am a dedicated and compassionate Early Years teacher with extended experienced in fostering children's development through child-centred teaching and outdoor education. I have lead the planning and delivery of the EYFS framework through differentiated activities by creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. I have used therapeutic approaches to reinforce behaviour and ensure development of the whole child.

I have strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with expertise in safeguarding policies, knowledge of the EYFS framework, and SEND.

I have created good parent-teacher connections and understand that home-nursery/school relationships are essential for creating the best start for any child.

I am committed to promoting early literacy and Maths skills and understand the importance of child development through the prime areas of the EYFS curriculum; CL, PSED and PD.

Throughout my time in education I have maintained a high expectation of health and safety and safeguarding for the children and adults within the working environment and am up to date with the paediatric first aid certificate.

It is important to create and develop strong foundations and core skills in early years education, whilst nurturing an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. Interactive adults who engage young learners through well planned activities, good communication and speech, help guide and build good core skills.

I am now looking to further my career by focusing on my passion for supporting young children's educational as a Nursery Teacher or Room Leader.

Affiliations

  • During my leisure time I like to sing soprano in my local community choir where I have been a member for the past 10 years. I assist with our school choir each week and we perform in local events inside and outside of our school. I love to be in my garden and have an allotment in our village, this is an area that I extend into my school life. I enjoy exercising and have recently started weekly gym sessions and play competitive badminton within a club. I am also part of a local book club where we meet once a month to discuss a variety of genres. I learnt the bassoon and violin at school and am now having lessons on the piano. As we use Makaton in school and have a new starter who is hearing impaired, I have joined the BSL association and am hoping to begin a course in sign language this year.
