During my short time at Bierkeller I gained valuable experience in a busy, fast-paced bar environment, serving a variety of drinks, while keeping surrounding areas organised, collecting glassware, and clearing tables. I also completed end-of-day cleaning procedures and preparing the bar for the next day's operations.
Being a room leader it was my responsibility to manage a team of staff to ensure effective running of the room, providing support and mentoring members of staff.
I engaged in regular parent-teacher meetings, updating on child's progress and any concerns- planning age appropriate activities aligned with EYFS, keeping records of vital information such as allergies, home routines and providing professional feedback.
Ensuring nursing policies are always met and confidentially is always kept, when regarding record keeping.

In this role, I provided reliable and trustworthy wrap-around care for two children, whose parents were doctors. My responsibilities included punctuality and being available for long hours (6:30 am - 7:30 pm), preparing and feeding meals, maintaining clean children's areas, safe transportation to and from nursery, bathing and dressing the children, keeping parents informed with a log. Most importantly, I created a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
While in this role I was responsible for the basic cleaning which included sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming, alongside with a focus on detailed cleaning in small spaces- covering surface cleaning, toilets and waste management.
I also managed cleaning supplies and ordered stock when needed, refilling daily consumables.
I demonstrated the ability to work independently, maintaining excellent organizational skills and delivering high-quality work efficiently. Also ensuring cleaning equipment was stored securely after each use, reporting maintenance issues and safety mixing chemicals while following strict hygiene protocols.
During my time here, I learnt a lot about the EYFS and what it means in childcare. I took my time to learn about the children's situations and new routines at work. I worked with the ages of 3-4 and helped to prepare them for school. I had a variety of responsibilities such as planning for each topic, children’s development and ensuring the safety of the children within my care.
