Jenna Kelly

Summary

I am a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in counselling looking for a suitable counselling role. I am a dependable, passionate, and caring individual who wishes to expand their knowledge and skills in a counselling setting. I have recently completed my Higher National Diploma in counselling with Fife College and hold a Certificate in online and telephone counselling provided through Counselling Tutor. I can offer Pluralistic counselling, though I am primarily Person-centred. I utilise Carl Roger's six core conditions to help clients regain their own autonomy and work towards their actualising tendency. I have a good understanding of the BACP's ethical framework and safeguarding vulnerable adults, which underpins the work I carry out with clients. I have sufficient knowledge of different theoretical approaches and the benefits they have for clients, which I plan on extending. I have a particular interest in pluralistic and person-centred therapy as through practice I believe it suits me well. I plan to continue expanding my knowledge into other theories such as attachment theory, to understand clients presenting issues from another perspective.
