
I have worked in the Health & Social Care environment for some years and am familiar with the need to be client focused. Work at pace in an ever changing area for the lives and wellbeing of the client base. Having a point of contact for the clients and their families to tap into care provision which is tailor made to the individual and can change very quickly with deteriorating care needs or be time limited to get clients back to baseline.

Working within the Adults & Older People's Team, Health & Social Care. Supporting heads of service, managers, hospital discharge team (Queen Elizabeth's Hospital, Woolwich) to discharge patients from acute hospital beds to the community either home with care package or into a care home setting (residential or nursing). Commissioning care home beds for local residents in care homes temporary/respite/emergency or permanent. Recording vacancies daily, arranging assessments with care home managers. Liaising with clients/NOK/hospital discharge team/senior H&S care managers and social work teams.
Working in the QE Hospital, Adults & Older People's Health & Social Care Team as a team secretary putting together social worker reports from their assessments of clients to the Multi Agency Panel on a weekly basis, the panel being made up of H&S care managers, hospital consultants and mental health consultants. Papers to be discussed for agreement to be placed in a suitable care home setting on discharge from the hospital or mental health unit or a community setting (the clients own home) taking into account where care has not worked or been exhausted to keep the person safe.
Providing HR support to Lewisham Community Health teams in the recruitment of NHS staff i.e, district nurses/psychiatric nurses/physiotherapist's etc. Placement of adverts weekly meeting strict deadlines for publishing. Sending applications to the relevant team for shortlisting, arranging interview panels, liaising with team managers and applicants.
Confirming successful job applicant and processing references etc and setting up of induction schedules.
All aspects of recruitment and selection for the FE College within the teaching areas, along with pastoral teaching such as arts/crafts sessions. Putting job adverts together for the local press/job centres, sending out applications packages, sorting to relevant teaching team leads, arranging interviews and any testing of skills required. All aspects of new staff joining the college including induction days. We also completed payroll via a computer software package system monthly and weekly for temporary/supply staff.
Started at Lewisham Borough in the Planning Department as a secretarial assistant to the Director of Planning Team, organising diaries, arranging meetings and material gathering as appropriate. I also made manual payments with a senior manager on a weekly basis to an off site unit for workers learning new skills post leaving prison.
I then applied internally and got the position of Personnel Assistant to the newly devolved Education function from the Inner London Education Authority to all local authorities., Trained in Recruitment & Selection procedures, covering all aspects of job vacancies in local schools working with head teacher and support staff.
Secretarial duties to 2 Directors of the telecommunication company - making dealer boards for banks and brokers in the City of London.
Typing on an electric typewriter then undertook training at Greenwich University in computer systems recently introduced to the office environment. Ordering of equipment and keeping records of supplies. Timesheet management of staff clocking in system to forward to the directors for bonus payments.
Most recently and after leaving Royal Borough of Greenwich I took up a voluntary role at QE Hospital in Woolwich in the Legal Department supporting them to get online recording of legal documents to their internal system so as to go paperless in line with hospital guidelines from 2023 to 2024
In order to get the voluntary role I completed their on line training programme including Safeguarding Adults & Children, Conflict Resolution, Infection Control, Data Security Awareness L1, Moving & Handling, Fire Safety and Health & Safety
Since joining the Public Sector in both Lewisham and Greenwich various in house training programmes in line with department guidelines
