Throughout my university training, I was lucky to have the opportunity of working front line as an Assistant Ambulance Practitioner (AAP).


Worked alongside a range of different staff to help respond to emergency and urgent jobs, and served a wide patient group whilst doing so.


During this, I was able to practise some skills from my paramedic training, such as history taking, immediate life-saving management, patient confidentiality, and building patient rapport.


Assisted the paramedic with skills that were not yet within my scope of practice.
