Teaming up with different members of surgical team such as surgeons, anaesthetist, medical device representative and nurses to care for patients undergoing surgical procedure. Collaboratively working to improve patient’s outcome, enhanced patient experience, increased efficiency and reduced work errors.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing operating room and ensuring all equipment’s required are present.
• Supporting clean operating theatres by adhering strictly to infection control protocols.
• Checking all instruments and counting them before and during surgery to ensure no items are missing.
• Anticipating surgeons needs by understanding surgical procedure and observing surgeon's movement to ensure all necessity items are available.
• Passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgical procedure.
• Detailed documenting of procedure, including instrument counts, medications used, and any issue that arises during surgery.
• Advocating for patients safety and well-being, addressing any concerns.
• Coordinated with anaesthetist for smooth induction process in surgery room.
