I have been working in EQI now for just over 2 years now full time permanent, in this post I manufacture and prep counter weights by electrically sanding and hand sanding and then filling in micro pin holes with glazing putty and using filler to fill in and fix any unnecessary marks along the counter weight before getting spray painted. I really enjoy the satisfaction of this process. I have learnt a lot about using machinery on a large scale, working towards a schedule and also have a good knowledge of health and safety in the workplace. I have a schedule and good time management skills so I meet daily production targets.

• Worked closely with production leads to ensure effective, efficient manufacturing and distribution processes.
• Accurately labelled and packaged items.
• Performed cleaning activities across site to maintain safety and compliance.
• Collaborated effectively with production teams to maintain excellent productivity and performance standards.
• Carried out picking and packing to production requirements, maintaining department dispatch speed.
• Ensured full compliance with health and safety regulations, including appropriate use and disposal of hazardous substances.
• Fed raw materials into production machinery.

I worked as a Hospital Porter when I finished school in June, I really enjoyed it but unfortunately it was only a temporary job, I brought patients to and from x-ray, wards and delivered lab samples to Labs, cleared rubbish and any other tasks that was needed. I worked as part of a large team but also worked independently whenever needed. I had to use my own initiative, use time management to make sure I got all my tasks complete in the time allocated on my shift. I was doing different shifts and I enjoyed the variation.

I had this job for a short time after school 2 nights per week. I served customers, operated fryers, cleaned and did stock takes, I left this job as I wanted to gain a job with more hours but as yet have not been successful.

I completed work experience with Irwin ME, they cover mechanical & electrical and I was with the electrical installation team working on site on a Hospital. I gained so much experience rewiring the new extension the hospital were building and we installed new sockets, cut metal and screwed in trunken. I really enjoyed being part of a team and gaining new skills.
