Project: Reinforcement of the High Voltage Transmission Ring around Abuja Project (Agence Francaise de Developpment Financed)

Brought in to ensure delivery of AFD funded Reinforcement of the Transmission Ring around Abuja Project.

  • Lead the team of about 20 different professionals ranging from Engineers, Environmentalists and Accountants in project environment resulting in 15% increase when compared against work plan.
  • Work with Contractors, Consultants, Project Team members and other stakeholders both external and internal to achieve project development objectives and to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Implement comprehensive project management framework by establishing delivery transparency through regular progress meetings and site visits, introducing value-driven product roadmaps, and preparation and regular updates of procurement and work plans.
  • Draft Terms of Reference for consultancy agreements, evaluate tenders and proposals, and conduct site inspections and project review meetings.
  • Establish efficient and transparent payment processes reducing time frame for contractors’ payments by 30%.
  • Made sure contractual obligations were met ahead of agreed service delivery.

  • Construction of Complete New 3x 60MVA 132/33kV Kuje Substation with 4 x 132kV Line Bays and 2 x 60MVA, 132/33kV Substation with 2x132kV Line Bays at Wumba/Lokogoma including about 5km 132kV Underground XLPE Cable from New Apo Substation to Wumba/ Lokogoma Substation, Abuja, Nigeria at an amount of US$26,197.382.86.
