I have assisted my mum with her online business. Some of the task I completed are

• Providing exceptional customer service by picking the correct product and items from the storeroom.
• Solo working
• Stock taking
• Updating stock levels on the website.
• Making sure that the items are packed in the correct size box.
• Taking great care to pack items securely.
• Maintaining, ordering and rotating stock, based on the need of the business.
• Printing postage labels ready for dispatch.
• Recycling packaging.
• Made sure the office space was clean, tidy and provided a safe working environment.

During my year 10 work experience (July 8-12th)I was based in the Property management department.

I learnt about store maintenance including leaks, ventilation and air conditioning.

I visiting the Falmouth store to be shown how they built and designed stores to suit customer needs along with sustainability.

I was set tasks to design signage for the shop and I used a realistic programme and was shown how to use CAD to design shop layouts and features such as materials in both UK and the USA through a video call.

I used problem solving skills and creativity to create and design a shop front.

I presented my designs of building fronts and signage to the employees on the property team.

At the end of my placement I received positive feedback from the employer such as Elowen is very talented, creative and has a good eye for design, her store design, A boards were very good and it has been a pleasure having me there.
