• Clean and maintain equipments used by residents e.g. hearing aids, wheelchairs, spectacles etc.
• Ensure all holistic assessments are carried out when residents are admitted to the home e.g. covering nutritional and incontinence issues, risk assessment
• Ensure full privacy and dignity is maintained for the dying and the bereaved, in line with the company's policies and procedures.
• I assist residents who need help during meals(Be aware of swallowing difficulties, dietary requirements etc.)
• Promote safe working practice in the home.

• I assist in conducting Microbiological tests e.g culture and sensitivity of microorganism, analyse results and perform further identification when required.
• Carry out simple microscopic analysis on urines, swabs etc
• Carry out sterilisation of all used laboratory tools daily e.g speculum, culture plates, slides, beakers etc using the autoclave.
• Prepare all the samples for test, ensuring proper labelling for easy identification.
• Prepare culture medias to be used for the week and store them appropriately
• Ensure all results are accurately recorded before discharging them for collection.
• I ensure all safety protocols including handling and disposal of hazardous materials are maintained.
