I have worked at South West Water for over 2 years, studying for my AAT qualification. I have progressed through multiple levels, with both AAT Level 2 and AAT Level 3 both acquired. Below are some key features of my role:

• Responsible for preparing and posting journals across multiple business areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
• Produce comprehensive management information packs for senior leadership, including budgeting, actuals, and variance analysis across key operational sectors.
• Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data.
• Work to strict monthly deadlines, consistently delivering high‑quality outputs within required timeframes.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the finance function by supporting wider team processes and maintaining strong attention to detail.

During college, I previously worked as an audio transcriptionist for Devon Transcription. Devon Transcription supplies over 30 universities nationwide (including the Criminology Department at the University of Cambridge), various NHS Trusts, Coroners, solicitors, charities, TV/radio producers and market research companies. Audio files are sent to me via digital format which I download securely and professionally type into a Word document. Recordings are transcribed intelligent verbatim and mainly consist of research interviews, focus groups, conferences, workshops, podcasts, etc. My job is to ensure I produce excellent quality transcripts, maintain high levels of grammar, spelling and punctuation, adhere to GDPR guidelines and comply with Data Protection principles.

In prior years, I also worked at Tiverton Golf Club. My job responsibilities include greeting customers, till operating, taking orders, preparing and serving food/beverages, bar work, ensuring a high standard of service is offered to the customers at all times and supporting other members of the restaurant team to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of service.
