Responsible for engineering operations day to day across the airport including all maintenance, repair and betterment work by STAL staff and contractors, having oversight of project and 3rd party engineering activities and managing engineering support in the event of incidents and emergencies. Ensure successful delivery of planned maintenance including all mandatory and statutory requirements and timely and high-quality response to faults to ensure assets are in full working order to meet business needs.

• Direct line management of terminal engineering shift technicians and the shift Helpdesk Coordinator working with them prioritising work and driving performance. Ensure skill and competencies are developed to meet future requirements.
• Matrix management of external engineering shift teams, TTS, and technical teams and providing expert engineering management and leadership to the airport operation.

Promotes continuous improvement and operational excellence in maintenance delivery and defect rectification and driving operational efficiency. Complete works inspections and audits for both in-house works and contractors, and ensuring al management and reporting processes are adhered to. Providing expert engineering management, advice, and leadership where appropriate in airport incidents in order to minimise disruption to the business and ensure safety of airport users. Delivery engineering contingencies and operational recovery in the event of a critical asset outage and lead engineering response to airport incidents and contingencies. Ensure in-house and contractor engineering works are delivered in a timely manner and to the required quality and area reinstated to a safe and clean condition to ensure a safe working environment is provided for engineering activities across the airport. Fire responder and Authorised Person (AP) for LV/AGL electrical, confined space and hot works

• I leaded a team of technicians in the effective and efficient maintenance of airport assets, ensuring a high quality and reliable service for passengers, tenants, and other internal/external customers some of the key elements of the role include.
• Reviewed team performance and distributed work to meet required standards
• Conducted start of shift meetings and liaised with the EDM to drive performance and improve maintenance service
• Undertook planned and reactive maintenance work on engineering assets, applying in-depth technical competence in electrical engineering
• Used work management systems such as MAXIMO to receive and close down work orders and understand individual, team, and asset performance
• Promoted safe working practices and engaged in work to deliver performance improvements within the engineering environment
• Assisted in the training and development of colleagues or apprentices, and upgraded skills to maintain and operate new assets

• In this role I helped carrying out work as part of a Preventive Planed Maintenance and responding to a varied range of reactive works on a wide range of electrical, mechanical and electronic systems.
• Scope of Systems I Assist in looking after:
• Baggage systems, X-ray machines, Trace Equipment, HVAC, electrical systems, Passenger Loading bridges, lifts, escalators, PAVA systems, BMS, CCTV, Life Safety Systems and many more systems unique to the airport environment.

• As Part of this role I was responsible for the electrical and building fabric of the passenger areas in the main terminal building and satellites. I also responded to health and safety issues effecting the passenger area working with my team and other departments to resolve in a timely manor.

• As part of this role i ensured that all passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey i also carried out the following duties
• Conducting hand searches of cabin luggage and passengers.
• Body searching (pat-downs) of passengers
• Operating high-tech security equipment such as X-Ray machines and body scanners.
• Patrolling our terminals.
• Checking of staff ID cards and passenger boarding cards before entering the security area.
