I'm a qualified Community Pharmacist and Independent Prescriber, with a focus on patient care, service development, and team support. I prescribe medications directly for patients as part of NHS and private healthcare services, having completed my prescribing qualification through Robert Gordon University.
In my current role, I manage a busy pharmacy while also supporting other branches—helping introduce new systems, train staff, and ensure services run effectively. I regularly deliver a wide range of clinical services including childhood and travel vaccinations, phlebotomy, cryotherapy, ear health services, and general health checks. These services support patient care and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.
I'm actively involved in mentoring, currently supporting a foundation trainee pharmacist, a newly qualified pharmacist, and a pharmacy technician, with previous experience guiding trainees through to full qualification.
During my prescribing course, I had the opportunity to train under a hospital-based gastrointestinal specialist and shadow a pharmacist in general practice running contraceptive clinics. These experiences deepened my clinical interests and helped shape my approach to patient care. I stay up to date with regular CPD through the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, attend NHS Education for Scotland clinical skills days, and meet all professional standards set by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Outside of work, I enjoy running and recently completed the Paris Marathon, raising over £1,000 for charity. I value staying active, setting challenges, and making a positive impact both professionally and personally.
Alongside managing my own pharmacy, I supported three newly acquired branches on a weekly basis to help bring them in line with company processes and standards.
Made sure procedures were properly in place and followed, and that staff understood the guidance set by the company and the regulator.
