I am very keen and hungry to learn more each and every day, I believe I can put my head into anything and succeed with the right environment around me. I am also eager to see what else is out there and be able to add to any team, organisation or company that is looking for someone like myself. I have a huge passion to work in football full time for my whole working career, it is my biggest goal to do so and where I have always seen myself. Having lots of previous work but also life experience at a young age puts me in a good position to contribute with a calm head but an insanely big drive and enthusiasm to add to any team.
Seamelessly transitioning into my coaching roles within Caledonian Braves after a season of just helping out around the ground and at matchdays I took the next step into coaching. I assist the under 20s manager with Friday night Lowland Development League matches and also relevant cup games.
As a first team coach at Caledonian Braves I've done a lot of different things, I have helped with kit, dealt with Catapult GPS systems for players, developed individual and collective training plans and much more. For the most part my role is to take training sessions on our two training nights which is Tuesday and Thursday. I put out the content for the first hour of each session and the manager delivers the remaininh 30 minutes afterwards. We work to a tactical plan for the week and run sessions according to which way we think suits best for the Saturday matchday that week. Throughout my whole time at Caledonian Braves I've helped contribute to the club's highest ever Lowland League finish (3rd), Win a European Trophy (Fenix Trophy) defeating teams from Germany, Serbia, Belgium and England in the final in order to do so, and develop countless players to achieve their own goals and aspirations too.
I started at Autoparts Airdrie owned by Dingbro Ltd in May 2022 and I am currently within the role now, I have a family history within the car industry so I have a lot of prior knowledge which made it an easy decision to acquire my first full time job away from football. I started off as a storeman which entails recieving stock in from various suppliers, marking it for inventory and placing it away within the correct locations of the warehouse area, I also picked all the orders booked out by my colleagues whilst also co-ordinating the van drivers' deliveries.
Very quickly I was asked to further my position and enhance my knowledge by temporarily going to the head branch - Hamilton Autoparts to train in counter sales. I spent 5 weeks there which helped my learn how to use various different tools and aids to identify the correct parts in which to sell customers. We deal with online, calling and face to face customers every single day, all of our sales, stock recievings and outgoings are done with high standards and great customer service.
Within my time at North Lanarkshire Council I worked as a sessional coach to provide football sessions and camps for young kids aged 5-16. This was a Saturday night 6-10pm and weekend work. I put on a variety of fun, engaging and interactive sessions for the children who always gave great feedback and improved them not only as footballers but also as young people.
As a footballer at Caledonian Braves I quickly learned how much my passion for football was reignited, after a few tough years due to inury and COVID-19 I fell back in love with the game, experiencing my first real exposure to men's football was great. I am forever grateful to Ricky Waddell for this chance and experiences. After 3 months of the season I unfortunately suffered a second ACL injury after coming back a few years previous. This curtailed my playing career and I started to weigh up my options whilst keeping my passion alive.
During my time at Next I was responsible for all of the movements of online customer orders within the store. These orders came in via vans & lorries frequently from 5am - 11am. Within this time frame orders had to be stored and accounted for whilst also updating stock levels throughout the whole store too. I worked temporarily over the busy festive period from November 2021 - January 2022 as the Online Manager at just 19 years old to cover the already busy schedule and sickness issues also.
Part-time professional footballer for Forfar Atheltic, competed in League 1, Scottish Cup and League Cup.
I learned a lot during my short spell as a player at Forfar and tried to learn from very experienced players and coaches.
Signed first contract with Motherwell at age 16 and returned to play at 17 after recovering from ACL injury.
Competed consistently for Under 20s and represented National Team during tenure at Motherwell.
In the future I am very keen to further my knowledge and qualifications with the Scottish FA by studying more courses. After recieving my result for my UEFA B Licence I would like to go onto the UEFA A Licence and possibly the Elite Youth A too. I really enjoyed my B & C licences, Dougie Anderson and Martyn Buckie being my tutors also added to that experience, both guys were great and very supportive which is the real draw to wanting to work for the Scottish FA also.
