Work History

Quantity Surveyor

Ringwood, Hampshire
06.2022 - 08.2025
  • To date with Churchill Retirement Living, I have successfully completed eight schemes ranging from circa £4 to £7 million. Including a bespoke, state-of-the-art equestrian center based in the New Forest, £16 million pound build.
  • I am currently managing four sites in the southwest region, at varying stages, from groundworks through to completion. Being able to effectively prioritize tasks is crucial in allowing me to ensure all deadline requirements for subcontractor packages and materials are met. Coordinating technical information with the construction teams allows for efficient delivery of projects.
  • I also assist in managing younger members of the team, undertaking commercial team meetings when required to give support, as well as directly overseeing an apprentice surveyor and mentoring them through their studies.
  • I am also involved in developing and streamlining company procedures with the introduction of SharePoint to the business, to allow information availability. Using costing to feed into the business cost models to ensure feasible reports for the future potential sites are as accurate as possible with the information available.
  • Development of construction budgets and cost estimates for the most cost-effective and time-effective methods of construction.
  • Undertaking monthly assessments and measuring work on-site against subcontractor applications, processing interim payments through to finalizing accounts.
  • Tendering, procuring, and managing work packages, ensuring best value and in accordance with health and safety requirements, while mitigating risk exposure.
  • Undertaking material purchasing to ensure that all elements of the construction projects are purchased in accordance with program requirements.
  • Contractual administration in accordance with the relevant body, along with my experience with JCT forms.
  • Undertaking monthly CVR reviews, reporting to my Regional Managing Director, Commercial Director, and Construction Director.
  • Producing commercial reports at each monthly meeting, reporting directly to my Regional Managing Director, Commercial Director, and Construction Director, providing updates on the commercial aspects of the projects while liaising with my site team regarding forecasting the future works and associated preliminaries.
