Summary

I am a confident and exuberant individual who has a passion for inspiring young people. Building relationships is at the forefront of my practice and pedagogy. I have a wealth of experience, working in many contrasting schools over the last 24 years, disseminating my knowledge and expertise. I am resilient, hardworking, adaptable, innovative and caring. My personal disposition is positive and young people relate well to my bubbly personality and sense of humour. Outside of working life I am a fitness enthusiast, who enjoys the outdoors and has a zest for life. I want to further my career with new challenges in new and innovative environments. I want to empower and inspire young people in every sense making them ambitious in their learning. I have fantastic working relationships with colleagues and am a proven outstanding teacher. My first specialism is Netball and I have experience of teaching GCSE PE, BTEC Sport, GCSE Dance and A level.

  • I am currently teacher in charge of Health and Social Care leading 3 members of staff and teaching 6 exam classes. I also teach Key stage 3 and 4 PE. I have also taught Sports Studies and GCSE PE. I am committed to running extra-curricular clubs in a wide range of sports. I lead the Netball coaching in school and have had local, regional and national success. Last year I coached Netball to our U16’s team who became Sisters in Sport National Champions. My current U14s team have also reached the finals of Sisters in Sport due to take place on the 9th March 2026 at Loughborough University. We have 1500 students, who are taught in single-sex and ability groups. Last academic year my classes were some of the highest in the school all above average with a 98% pass rate at L2P and above, with 38% of students gaining a L2D and L2D

  • Whilst at St Mary’s I was in charge of Physical Education across the school. I also led staff training in PE and observed colleagues lessons. I ran all the extra curricular activities leading teams to local and regional success in Netball and Lacrosse. I also ran numerous sporting trips, the main being a Netball Tour to Malta and a Dance performance at the Millennium stadium for the Rugby 6 nations. I was in charge of running swimming teams and teaching swimming across all key stages. I was also in charge of Sports Awards evening yearly celebrating the success of the students achievements in and outside of curriculum.
