Summary

I am currently employed as a Band 5 staff nurse in England, I have thoroughly enjoyed working as a nurse for the last 5 years providing high quality care for infants, children and adolescents. Which has provided me with invaluable experience of working with children of all ages with a range of health needs. This has allowed me to develop a wide range of skills and clinical competencies. I am a confident and outgoing individual who is able to adapt to new and unfamiliar situations that arise, which I have been able demonstrate in a variety of situations over the last 5 years.

Working as a nurse has provided me with the opportunity to develop my communication skills, not only with patients and their families but also working with the multi-disciplinary team. This has allowed me to build strong professional relationships. I am a courteous and articulate individual, which further contributes to my strength in interacting with others. I am able to work well as part of a team, however I have also been able to develop skills in decision making, clinical judgment and being able to work autonomously relying on my own assessment and evaluation of a situation. I am able to organise and prioritise my workload, whilst also being able to work under pressure.

As a highly motivated individual I always strive to succeed in whatever I do. I am a keen learner and will make use of all available resources to further develop my knowledge and skills in order to provide the best up to date care for my patients. I am aware of my own limitations and constraints, and do not hesitate to ask for help when unsure of a situation. I consider myself to be a punctual, professional, flexible, reliable, hardworking and non-judgmental individual who will always provide the best care possible.
