Completed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award by volunteering in a charity shop for 3 months, taking part in 6 months of football for the physical section, developing refereeing skills through officiating football matches, and completing a 3-day expedition. Throughout the award, I developed independence, commitment and practical experience through volunteering, teamwork, leadership and managing responsibilities in different environments.
Completed a 2-week school expedition in Morocco, including trekking through the Atlas Mountains and camping each night. To take part, I independently raised £2,300 through a range of activities including completing handyman work for local residents, attending car boot sales, and sourcing and reselling items online. The experience developed my resilience, independence and ability to work towards long-term goals.
