I have worked at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS trust for almost seven years starting at entry level in October 2017, since then I have gained two role progressions, one in June 2020 and one in May 2022.

My current role is as a Associate Practitioner Team Lead, I oversee a team of 30-40 people which handles 35,000-40,000 requests weekly.

My responsibilities include:

• Reviewing incoming biological samples for correct labelling, registration and patient information. Preparing laboratory specimens and samples for efficient, accurate testing processes.
• Leading the team, assessing and prioritising workflow.
• Facilitating communication with adjacent departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Reporting relevant information to managers.
• Maintaining a high level of service, helping managers to identify issues in workflow and productivity, collaborating to come up with solutions and giving feedback on their effectiveness.
• Identifying issues and resolving them, providing constructive feedback to individuals and training staff for tasks.
• Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Problem solving, handling complex requests and finding resolutions to issues.
• Creating, reviewing and contributing to documents designed to improve the service internally and externally
• Implementation of new procedures or temporary deviations, always adapting to the changing environment and ensuring understanding of the whole team.

I am a health and safety representative and first aider.

I was a part time sale assistant while studying at univeristy.

My responsilbilties included:

• Assisted customers with enquiries, recommendations and product information.
• Operated the cash registers accurately, processing card and cash payments and offering company reward schemes.
• Demonstrated a variety of products such as mini drones to advertise and showcase products to customers.
• Restocked items on shop floor and received and put away deliveries of stock.
• Participated in stock counts after hours every quarter.
• Maintained a clean and organised shop floor.
• Resolved customer complaints.

I was given the role of Key holder in 2016 which included the following extra responsibilities:

• Handled returns and exchanges as per company policy.
• Opened and closed the store independently.
• Processed the days earnings in the company system.
• Transported company earnings to the bank.
• Acted as senior member of staff when managers busy or absent.
