Hobbies and Interests

When I have time, I look for interests that help to build my wellbeing and create community. For example, I enjoy book clubs and regular crafting activities with friends where we introduce each other to new activities.

From late spring to autumn I swim in the sea most weeks with a group who call ourselves Cart Gap Dippers. It is  a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature, share snacks. The group support develops confidence when sea swimming.

After a long wait, I am lucky enough to have an allotment and am learning about growing my own food with the advice and support of the other seasoned gardeners on my allotment plot.

I was a member of Norfolk Roller Derby from to and supported the team through being a member of the Board of Directors, developing maintaining pol for the amatuer sports team as well as ensuring inclusivity, fairness and financial accountability.  After recovering form a period of illness,  I have recently begun to reignite my passion for fitness and am trying to organise an older women's strength and conditioning group with the help of a local personal trainer.
