I can demonstrate and have shown previously a lot of resilience in and around my school environment For example transitioning from primary to high school during lock down and doing 8 months of homeschooling which effected the groups i was put in in high school starting at the bottom working up to higher sets to achieve the standards i am at now
throughout my school career i got chosen to work along side the university of Leeds in a pilot study called Leeds to success the program was designed it was a 3 year course starting in year 9 and ending in year 11 during the first year i had to do a research project in a topic my group had chosen and we had picked engineering throughout history and then in the second year we learnt a lot of skill that would stay with us throughout life such as teamwork and communication Because of this we had to visit the university campus twice and we got to experience what it is like to work in mature environment sitting through a lecture and seeing what university life is like this then allowed us to see things form a more professional point of view from highly educated peers With how successful it was the scheme will be rolled out to more schools in 2026
