As a teenager I care for my grandmom, that experience was rewarding especially the joy i saw on her each time i clean her up and tell her stories until she drifted to sleep. This experience prepared me to take a more formal role to become the primary carer for Mr Ozor in Nigeria. I got the job through a family friend. I started by providing domestics and progressed to personal carer when Mr Ozor's health worsen.
I have patience and resilience to cope wit the challenges of caring for an independent person that has complex needs. I have experience of administering their medication and daily events. I assist with personal hygiene and feeding. I provide feedback to family member. I ensure that the patient gets quality care they deserve and ensure that the family members are reassured and confident in the quality of care i provide.
I am aware of the importance of maintaining good professional conduct at all times to preserve the reputation of the organisation and ensure good feedback and reference.
