  • I currently work across five outpatient reception areas within Bedford hospital, acting as the first point of contact for patients and delivering a professional, compassionate service within a busy and fast-paced healthcare environment. I manage patient arrivals and appointment check-ins using Trust IT systems including PIMS, Flow Manager and CRIS, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient information. As part of my role, I book follow-up appointments and complete outcomes , where necessary, across a variety of clinics and specialities in line with consultant instructions, whilst also maintains and updating patient waiting lists to support the smooth running of outpatient services.
  • In addition to front-line reception duties, I communicate regularly with patients, medical secretaries and internal departments via telephone to coordinate appointments and resolve enquires. I assist in the preparation of patient packs, printing documentation labels for nursing staff to ensure clinics run efficiently. I also maintain and update excel spreadsheets to support workflow management.
  • My role requires a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant with GDPR. I regularly amend and verify patient demographic details by cross-checking with Summary Care records.

  • In my role I was responsible for receiving and processing vehicles involved in both minor and major accidents, as well as scrap vehicles , ensuring they were prepared appropriately for auction. I photographed and recorded detailed condition information to create accurate online listings, supporting presentation and marketing of stock to prospective buyers. As part of this process, I was required to remove any personal or sensitive information in line with company procedures and suitability for public auction.
