I have worked in various parts of the hospital including the eye clinic, radiology and theatres.

• Working as a healthcare assistant allowed me to work in a multidisciplinary environment this has allowed me to work collaboratively in order to coordinate care and share information to achieve the best outcome for the patient.
• It has also improved my attention to details as you have to notice any slight changes to prevent patient deterioration

I worked in a GP surgery where I would read medical notes following this, I would summarise their notes into key medical problems and put them in order of importance I would then code this onto a computer.

• Allowed me to develop my problem solving skills as there often problems which need to be solved quickly and independently.This means I can identity the issues, evaluate the best options and make corrective measures if necessary
• I also improved my summarising skills as it was impossible to code everything that was in the medical notes so I am now able to condense large pieces of text and workout what it is the most important thing.
